Before You Come
If you come to Penmac seeking employment, be sure to dress appropriately. As there is a chance you will be sent to a job site on the same day you visit Penmac, you should dress prepared to work for the job in which you are applying. For your application, bring two forms of identification (such as your license, social security card, passport, birth certificate, etc.), and a check to start direct deposit. If you have a resume, bring that as well.
When you come to Penmac for the first time, expect to spend approximately an hour preparing for employment. When you arrive, you will begin the application process. If you anticipate having trouble filling out paperwork, you can bring someone who can help, or prepare the forms online before arriving at Penmac. In order to be placed in an appropriate job, you must complete the entire application. Do not leave any questions unanswered.
After you complete your application, you will be required to do some basic testing to measure your job skills and knowledge. This testing allows Penmac to place you in a job that is a good fit for both you and the company.
When your application and testing are finished, you will meet with a Penmac staffing specialist for an interview. This allows the staffing specialist to learn more about your work history and experience. It also gives you an opportunity to share your employment expectations. You can let Penmac know the type of job you want, whether you are seeking part or full time employment, and when you are available to work.
Once you have finished your application process, testing, and interview, you are eligible to work. A Penmac staffing specialist will contact you if a position you are qualified for becomes available. As the majority of jobs become available quickly, without much notice, you should check in with the Penmac office at least twice a week.
Each Penmac office generally follows the same hiring procedures, but there may be slight variations between locations. If you have any questions or concerns about working for Penmac, stop by one of our local branches and we will be happy to provide more information.
