With the Affordable Care Act (also known as Obamacare), individuals may be subject to large financial penalties for not securing health coverage. In addition to these penalties, the lack of health insurance could saddle you with huge medical bills if an unexpected injury or illness strikes your family. Beginning in 2019, individuals will be able to go without coverage and not face a fine.
At Penmac, we understand that healthcare must be easily accessible and affordable for individuals. With increasing requirements on coverage, we work hard to ensure Penmac associates have healthcare coverage options that comply with Affordable Care Act (ACA) requirements. All Penmac employees (regardless of full-time status) are eligible to enroll for benefits for 2018. You will have 30 days from the date of their first assignment to enroll in coverage, drop coverage, and/or make changes.
