Blake Harrell's Story

College Student Balances Classes with Full-time Work

Blake Harrell began working in his current assignment for Penmac in June 2011 with Grimco Inc., in Owensville, Mo.  Harrell works in the receiving department and operates a forklift to unload and stock merchandise.

Owensville Branch Manager, Dawn Roark, said of Harrell, “Blake manages to work 40 hours each week with us and then goes to college in the evenings. Blake is never late and never calls absent to work. He truly is a model Penmac employee.”

“I appreciate the security that I get from Penmac. I feel like I have insurance that allows me to always have a job,” Harrell said.

Harrell attends evening classes at East Central College in Union, Mo., and plans to major in wildlife management.
