Happy New Year’s from Penmac Staffing!

As we approach a new year, we reflect on the past one.

As the new year approaches, many are thinking about resolutions and what 2017 might bring. At Penmac, we thought it would be a good time to reflect on 2016. Penmac opened its first office in Springfield in 1988, and has since grown to have more than thirty offices in seven states! 2016 was our 28th year of connecting job seekers with businesses—an achievement we’re proud of.

2016 brought the opening of six new offices! Penmac Staffing CEO, Tim Massey, is confident in the new Penmac branches. “We do a lot of research before we decide to open shop in a particular market,” Massey said. “We want to see three things. First, the community is focused on business growth. Second, there is a viable commitment to workforce development. Third, there is a strong manufacturing and/or distribution base.” Penmac started the year opening offices in Washington, MO and St. Peters, MO. We then opened branches in Fulton, Gardner, KS; and Jackson, MO. Our northwest Arkansas office also relocated to Siloam Springs.

One of Penmac’s newest divisions, Education Staffing, also expanded in 2016. Penmac started its substitute teacher program in 2013 working with one school district, and has now grown to provide services to ten school districts. The program not only helps schools in recruiting, screening, training, and managing qualified substitute teachers and paraprofessionals, but also ensures district compliance with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

None of Penmac’s accomplishments for the year would have been possible without the great team we have working at Penmac. 2016 saw retirements of loyal staff, but also welcomed in new faces and promoted hard workers. President Paula Adams was named on the Staffing Industry Analysts Global Power 100 Staffing List for the second year in a row. We are continually impressed by our outstanding team.

Making goals for the upcoming year is a valuable exercise, but we didn’t want to let 2016 pass without taking a moment to consider the year’s milestones. Thank you to all of our loyal associates and businesses for your dedication throughout the year!
